Serata performativa con la nota poetessa londinese Jehane Markham, per anni scrittrice per la BBC, che interpreterà dal vivo alcuni suoi scritti ispirati alla natura.
Sarà accompagnata al pianoforte da Yuki Negishi, pianista concertista giapponese e dal violoncellista friulano Riccardo Pes. Verranno eseguite musiche di Prokofiev, Stravinsky, Poulenc and Pradal.

Jehane Markham is a poet, lyricist and dramatist. She started out writing for the BBC Radio and wrote many adaptations of classic texts as well as her own original work. “Nina” was a film for BBC TV directed by Alan Clarke. She has worked with many composers, Orlando Gough, for the Royal Opera House and Pete Letanka for Wonderful Beast Theatre Co. She headed the Jehane Markham Trio working with two jazz musicians for ten years, Robin Phillips, Johnny Gee, and made two albums. She has four collections of poetry and a recent album made with her sons and friends to pay homage to her husband who died in 2014: Sixteen Sunsets available on Spotify. www.jehanemarkham.co.uk | jehanemarkham1Instagram

Yuki Negishi has established herself as a pianist of rare poetry, passion and virtuosity, as well as an adjudicator, educator and researcher, captivating audiences wherever she performs around the world. Yuki has already performed in over 500 concerts in the UK alone, including many of the most important halls and festivals, and regularly performs about 30 concerts a year as recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician in countries such as the Netherlands (Concertgebouw), France, Germany, Switzerland (Tonhalle), Italy (Festival di Londra, Blanc Festival), Romania, Japan, China and the USA. She has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, ITV, Channel 4, Dutch, Polish, Romanian and French television and radio.

Riccardo Pes was born in 1987 in Spilimbergo, Italy. He graduated with outstanding from the Royal College of Music, London, on the artist diploma course under the tuition of Professor Melissa Phelps. He was an RCM Scholar, supported by the Soiree d'Or Award, Pauline Hartley Award and the Kathleen Trust. Riccardo Pes recently published his first solo album entitled "Cellina Work" (Irene Music Label). He was awarded the title of "Man of Peace" after his performance at the Tibet Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2018, also receiving an honorary passport for Tibet. He also took part in this year’s Venice Biennale, giving a performance on the island of San Servolo of a new composition,’ Milky Way', inspired by an old Chinese melody.
